Privacy notice
Last updated 4 November 2026. This notice describes what this website actually does, not what a template says it might do.
Who holds your data
Hingst Research Consultancy, registration PG0556204T, is the data user for anything you send through this site. Correspondence about privacy goes to wk@hingst.co.
What the chatbot collects
Only when you choose to send a message through the chatbot on the contact page, and only what you type:
- a name, if you give one
- one reachable contact — an email address or a phone number
- the words of your enquiry
- the language you wrote in
Nothing else. There is no account, no form submission and no cookie set by this site — see Analytics below.
Why
To answer your question and, where you ask us to, to arrange a conversation. Your details are not used for marketing, you are not added to a list, and nothing is sold or shared beyond the processors named below.
How long it is kept
No transcript is stored. Your messages are sent to the model to produce a reply, and the firm keeps no copy afterwards.
An enquiry that is delivered to the firm is kept in its mailbox as an ordinary email for 24 months, then deleted.
If delivery fails, the enquiry is written to the host's worker log so it can be recovered rather than lost, and those logs are kept for three days.
Who processes it
Three processors sit between your message and the firm:
- Cloudflare — hosts this site and runs the chatbot endpoint, so it carries the request.
- Google Gemini — Google's Gemini model generates the reply from this site's own content.
- Resend — delivers a qualified enquiry to the firm's inbox.
Analytics, and why there is no cookie banner
The only analytics is Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you. Because this site sets no tracking cookie, there is nothing to consent to.
The typefaces are served by Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when it requests them. Apart from that, this site makes no third-party requests.
Your rights
Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 you may ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to stop using it. We answer within 21 days.
